Very good location, the staff is incredible. You can rent motorbike upon arrival which is a huge advantage. Also, they offer pier transfer for free. 🙏 We didn’t ask for daily cleaning still the ladies gave us fresh water every single day.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mar Ozo Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made check-in a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

everthing was perfect! great great breakfast!! they have a few chairs so you can stay at the beach, and they helped us with the trips we wanted! very nice staff ( ps: the trip to Koh Tao with the speed ferry was a bit bumpy, so be prepared, but it is totally worth it)

A little piece of paradise – perfect for nature lovers and Muay Thai enthusiasts! We had a truly unforgettable stay at Sai Daeng Resort. The location is absolutely stunning — a hidden gem nestled in nature with breathtaking sea views and direct access to crystal-clear waters. It’s a snorkeling paradise, perfect for exploring vibrant coral reefs just off the beach. We were lucky enough to spot harmless baby reef sharks and an incredible variety of colorful fish — right from the shore! The staff is exceptional — incredibly kind, courteous, and always available to help with a warm smile. The entire resort is beautifully maintained and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that make it feel both luxurious and welcoming. The food is excellent — fresh, well-prepared, and with enough variety to satisfy any craving. Of course, prices are a bit higher than your average Thai street food, but totally reasonable and expected in a resort of this level. A very special mention goes to Kru Def, the Muay Thai instructor, who offered private sessions tailored to our needs. He’s a great teacher — professional, passionate, and patient. Training with him was one of the highlights of our stay! We’d recommend Sai Daeng Resort to anyone looking for natural beauty, relaxation, and a touch of adventure. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

Everything was amazing and we cannot recommend the place enough! The house was stunning with fantastic view, dream place to be honest! Beds was comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms was large and aircondition was very efficient. The fridge was already stocked with butter, egg, bread, vine, soda and water that you could buy each day, which they refilled. Lots of menus in the house that delivered fairly quickly for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so one didn’t have to go anywhere if you didn’t want to. Lounge areas in our house was so amazing and we sat there every night and just enjoyed the place and the view. Pool was great size too for us 4 and excellent wifi. It’s possible to snorkle in the sea, as there is three sun decks, if you walk down the steep roads and stairs - good work out as our house was one of the top ones (C2 - but can really recommend this house!!). People working there was also so amazing and kind, we felt like home! Last, but not least, the driver we had was so nice! We got several tips to what to do and he made every drive we went on just an lovely experience - amazing guy and a awesome driver (which that place needs as it’s steep roads). Cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely come back again 💛☺️

From the detailed introduction and warm welcome by the polite staff, the vast gardens that are nicely curated -but not too polished to lose their natural look- to the fantastic room, everything was as perfect as possible. The rooms have a natural feel and aesthetics to the tiniest detail, such as the A/C covered with wood, the locks, furniture and literally everything. Bonus points for the refillable amenities (no single-use plastic little bottles) and for the kind staff at the restaurant that took the time to refill our water bottles each time we asked so that we would avoid using plastic bottles (that are provided on complimentary basis anyway in the room along with tea & coffee). Breakfast was also super satisfying with a nice variety and one of the best coffees I tried on the island. This is a serene oasis with the best staff ever, thank you so much for making our stay so special!

Lidia the receptionist at Haadtien was excellent. My husband had a motorbike accident right outside of the resort entrance and was roughed up pretty well...I explained to Lidia that the sheets were effected as his injuries bled through the wound dressing over night and I could not get the stains out myself (I tried!) She was so helpful and caring. She not only asked the manager to assist us (and the lovely manager did not charge us anything extra for the sheets!) but she also lent us the first aid kit before going to town to buy supplies which really helped a lot. She has top notch service and is very kind and friendly! The whole staff was very nice and speak English very well, we felt at home! We also really enjoyed our friend Hein who works at the restaurant! He was so kind and gave us amazing service too. We loved this resort!! Service and scenery gets an A+

Just amazing place. Pros: - Territory. Cool location, quiet area of the hotel itself, quiet area behind the hotel. Fairly close to the busy part. Tiny private beach nearby. Public beach nearby. Boat taxi nearby. - Green. Super green hotel. A lot of palms, trees and flowers. - Staff (Front-desk and restaurant). Very helpful, answers all questions and concerns, helps with organization of the vacation. Very kind people. Huge contribution for 10/10. - Room. Simple but everything you need. Comfy bed. Comfy pillows. No TV but I believe in a place like this you don’t need it. Room service is fast and effective. - Restaurant. Good breakfast, good selection. Refilling food evening for late attendees. Wonderful view to the bay. Fairly good price.

View from the room is fantastic and stunning location. If you like being close to Nangyuan Island and a bit of snorkeling, both are easily accessible on each side of this amazing place!. Our room is big space, got a beautiful ocean views and beds were the most comfortable. Breakfast was included and was the best meal of the day. The staff at Dusit Buncha were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy to access to town by free service taxi from resort. Overall, I love and had a pleasant stay!

All good! After reading the negative reviews I was a little worried but everything was ok. Localisation was good. Calm and quiet beach with a walking distance to the hustle and bustle of koh tao. Water front bungalow with private pool was worth the price. Yes it is a little bit old but if it was brand new the price would be twice as much. Pool was ok as well. Friendly staff.

It is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and very good value for money. Fantastic location. I wish they could do little more on the breakfast . The room is ok. I don't like when you have to take shoe off when you go in the lounge or the restaurant. The lounge need to updated. Staff resting on rhe sofa too which is weird.

Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in...

Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.
