- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 348 reviewsThey have Laser and Hobie cat sailing boats to rent! Beautiful little spots (hammocks, sun loungers, big rocks to sit on, etc.) that enabled a very relaxing way to hang out watching the sailboats and sunsets. Excellent value for money especially when you factor in the complimentary breakfast and free taxi shuttle to the Ao Nid (Boonsiri) pier. But excellent value for money just based on the bungalow and property too. Super unique and enjoyable pool. Just wish the pool was open later to cool off in after dinner (they currently close to pool at 6 pm which seems super early to me for a pool that isn't lifeguarded anyway). Off the end of the pier, they also have a sunken motorcycle, golf cart, and car along with some coral nurseries that are fun to snorkel around when the water visibility is good. Just watch out for the sea urchins.Guest review byJohnAfghanistan
- From US$121.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 796 reviewsThis is our favourite get away spot, its a beautiful location where you can unwind and relax, perfect for both families and couples. I have seen reviews of people complaining about no egg station for breakfast or some food not great, i really wonder what people expect for a resort on a island that has limited resources unlike the bigger island like koh chang. The breakfast is good and you can request an omelette or an egg cooked a certain way by the chef, the food in restaurant is good and is served quick. The staff speak great english and super friendly, plenty of sunbeds and all things like the paddle boards snokels and kayaks are free to use, you can also wonder to the blue pearl pier bar at neighbouring resort. Its a beautiful spot and if you looking for a great chilled weekend without any worries this is the place.Guest review byJamesThailand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 198 reviewsThe resort is located in a peaceful and green area. There are no other resorts nearby so you can enjoy private and wild beach. It is also excelent place for snorkeling and observing under water garden created by Michal -the owner of the resort. Michal and Riam are great hosts - easy-going, helpful, with perfect recommendations what to do and see on the island. The restaurant at the resort is very good - with fresh, like homemade Thai food. There are some shops, little market and local restaurants walking distance from the resort. Other parts of island are easley accesible by motorbike or taxi. Me and my friends had really great time at Ao Pong Resort!Guest review byJoannaPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 573 reviewsOur second stay here and it's still a gem of a hotel, nestled in the best stretch of the best beach on the island. Happy to conclude they still manage to hit all the marks. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful (special thanks to Mouy!), the breakfast is good with a reasonable selection, and the overall atmosphere is more in harmony with the surrounding nature rather than a stale, curated, resort vibe. We've already decided to add a few extra nights here toward the end of our trip as we're not quite yet ready to say goodbye to this place.Guest review byIiroUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 179 reviewsThe staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Gorgeous bungalow in gardens. Clean and spacious the bungalow has a balcony that overlooks the garden. Hire a scooter at this resort, the bikes are good and it's lovely and quiet on the island so riding to explore the beaches and restaurants is fun.Guest review byamandaUnited Kingdom

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.Guest review byMarty TUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.Guest review byFredUnited States - 8.0

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).Guest review byTyeJ_travelGermany
