This city has mostly working-class Thai people living in it and it shows. You have Terminal 21, night markets, and temples to visit, but everything slows down after 10 pm. Is good to know where you want to visit and book a car with driver from the hotel you are going to stay. There is not grab or taxi in Khaiyao but you can drive if you want to. Nakhon Ratchasima city is not a typical tourist city, but has got an atmosphere in the back streets which can wake up someone. The city has got some shopping centers, but to get there it is smart to choose correct hotel as they at this time do a lot of road work, so it is not easy to pass roads (rear with pedestrian traffic lifhts in Thailand anyway). We went there because my wife comes from a village outside the city, and we stayed in the city and rented a car.
