The room I booked is a Jacuzzi pool room on the ground floor it's very well equipped a lovely rain shower large bath extremely comfortable king bed the air conditioning is very efficient so always comfortable in the room. There is adequate tea coffee supplies in the room. I used room service a couple of times and the food from there was delivered quickly and was very tasty. The breakfast buffet has a wide choice plus you can order extras like omelettes, noodles and the staff there so friendly. The swimming pool is of a good size with plenty of loungers with steps leading down straight to the sea. I like Hua Hin because it’s a bit more laid back than other tourist areas but still has plenty of bars and restaurants to be found. Like most places in Thailand there are restaurants to suit every budget and type. I really liked the food and view at the far end of the beach ( Khao Takiab ) just walk across the sand and up the side of the hill, select a spot in the shade and sea breeze and eat some great food. Hua Hin main beach access is not great, it’s very rocky and they’re sharp! Unless your staying at a major resort most access is blocked, so better to travel farther afield.Guest review byPaulAustralia - 10
Prachuap is a delightful Thai town.
Prachuap is a delightful Thai town. The esplanade along the coast is super for walking, running, cycling. Ao Manao Bay is fantastic for chilling in a beach chair, zipping on a banana boat, or eating good Thai food. The weekend market has many different types of food and cheap clothes and accessories. There are also a couple of quality non Thai restaurants in the town, back from the coast and some good coffee shops. The temple on the hilltop is worth walking up, except for the monkeys. Ban Krut is a seaside resort which I’m sure is usually very quiet. We visited for new year so it was full of local Thai families setting up to enjoy new year on the beach - lots of food stalls and great atmosphere - fireworks sat at a table on the beach with beers from local vendor was just perfect! If you are a fan of sunsets and are not an early riser (to catch the sunrise), you should be on the opposite coast instead of here. If you are, however, an early riser, the beach here is very nice and the sunrise is to be anticipated with each day bringing a new experience. The resort properties here are generally nice but beginning to show the inevitable decline of western facilities in a tropical setting.
