Snorkelling is just off the shore where there is a big reef that goes along the entire beach where you can see huge puffer fish, parrot fish, sting rays and an assortment of other tropical fish. Off the beach snorkelling is great all over the island. The resort is small but beautifully maintained with comfy sun loungers that are right on the beach. Breakfast is great with fresh eggs, fruit etc as well as Thai breakfast options too. The rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The mosquito nets on the beds were much appreciated as Ko Kradan does have a few mosquitos especially in the evening. Bathrooms were nice and spacious and are located outside with nice big rain showers with great water pressure and good hot water. What really makes this resort is the wonderful staff. Noon organised my transfers to and from the island which ran like clockwork it was so easy. A special mention goes to Way and Naew who really made my stay special and were super friendly and attentive. The resort is situated in the middle of Ko Kradan’s beach and away from the pier which can get busy with day trip visitors so the resort is always nice and peaceful. White sandy beach with crystal clear waters and neighbouring islands on the near horizon The reef resort was purely delightful- a wonderful informative checkin from Genta, a lovely room metres from the beach and a perfectly chilled atmosphere. The snorkelling was amazing- just an 80 metre swim to the reef and so many tropical fish! A 20 min walk to sunset beach on the west coast and an early rise for the sunrise on the beach at the resort- totally incredible Kalume next door does great Italian food but the food and service at the reef resort was amazing. Jack and his staff totally understood severe fish and nut allergies and everything was safe and catered for. Genta was above and beyond; we forgot and lost stuff on our transfer and she found and safely stored them for onward transmission. The first two nights we had a second row bungalow. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a beach front for the last two nights. I know Trang from my early days, some 34 years ago when I lived here... There are just a few parts of Thailand that can match the diversity and lush green surroundings - one would be Khao Lak. Trang has many limestone caves, temples and an abundance of waterfalls and islands to explore. I still love this place very much today, after such a long time and keep coming back with my family. The staff were kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was hands down the best on the island. The thai omelete, the massaman curry (really all the curries), the french toast, the roti, the mango sticky rice, the pad thai, morning glory, drunken noodles, agh everything was incredible. Besides the food, the views were incredible. The sunrise was spiritual. The ambiance is so peaceful and gorgeous. If you need a taxi(tuktuk), they'll call one for you. They also coordniated a private longboat tour around the island for us. We did incredible snorkeling with our local guide and was the emerald cave at a time when it wasn't packed with tourists. Short walk into town using the walking path along the water. It's also an easy tuktuk ride to the pier and to Charlie Beach for sunset. It was the most magical and peacful stay. We visited Koh Kradan for the first time and spent there just 2 nights. Wonderful sea full of fish. Small island. You can rent a kayak. We were charged 500bth (2 adults, 1 kid) at the arrival at the pier as entry to the national park. That may make sense, maybe is better to know about it before. Just about only 7 resorts next each other. Wonderful beach with natural shades from trees. Koh Libong is a sleepy little island that you can explore in a day. Motorbike is the best way to get around (200 baht) from local village store. it has a relaxed vibe and the locals are lovely and friendly. there are no crowds, no hustle, no bustle… just a laid back island which is like going back in time. Take the bike and visit the Dugong viewpoint, Leekpai bridge and the tower.. head to the main village and enjoy an iced coffee with the locals.. go to the stone bridge and the beach beyond to see the true beauty of the island… with the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair, a motorbike ride around the island is a must…Guest review byClaireUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Koh Mook is a beautiful island.
Koh Mook is a beautiful island. There are no cars, just mopeds and motorcycle taxis. The beaches are quiet with beautiful white sand, great bars and views. The island is quiet with not too many tourist. The small town is near the pier as you arrive and has numerous restaurants and bars. We used City Centre restaurant on more than one occasion, but everyone we used was first rate. My wife and I travelled with three friends and we all felt safe and everywhere and the people so friendly, by the end of our 10 night stay we felt like we knew everyone on Koh Mook! A motorcycle taxi is 50 barts per person and the drivers are friendly. The Emerald Cave trip is a must do, but go early (8ish) to miss the tourists from the other nearby islands. Trang is a great place to get a taste for a real Thai city, especially before or after a stay out at the islands. After our trip out to the Koh Mook and Koh Libong, a stay in Trang provided a different, but equally interesting experience of city life in Trang. Beautiful landscapes surrounding city and the food scene is crazy and amazing (as with much of Thailand)! We had just one night here and a little under a day, which was a perfect amount of time for us to rent a scooter and explore a couple of cool sites in the area (Khao Chang Hai Cave, Weaving Center), visit the night markets, and experience the famous Trang dim sum breakfast.
