- From US$358.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 137 reviewsWe spent 5 amazing days in this place. Every day started with a delicious breakfast and some hours spent in the terrace under the November sun. Traveling during this period was such a great choice (less people, beautiful autumn sunny weather). They have a beautiful terrace just in front of the restaurant but we also had our private one where we could chill. I recommend taking a room with terrace, is totally worth it. I think the place is even better than in the pictures, the atmosphere, the music and vibes were magical. All the staff were very professional and kind, both of the hotel and Moniq restaurant. A special thanks to Resul, that spent plenty of time guiding us through what to do based on the number of days we were staying, booked us a wonderful ballon ride and many more things he did for us every single day . We also had dinner twice at Moniq restaurant, one in front of the fireplace in the room, very romantic and cozy. The baklava was delicious and the cocktails also super high quality. If you are planning to travel here, Taskonaklar is the place to be, trust me. The lazy mornings just laying in the sun, facing the valleys, in this perfect hotel, were the best memories I will bring with me home.Guest review byAgneseSwitzerland
- From US$791.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 869 reviewsEverything about my stay at Sultan was excellent. The breakfast had a good selection buffet, the rooms were cozy and warm, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the best part was the rooftop terrace which we were able to enjoy in the morning and during sunset time for a drink. I had booked this property after seeing so many instagram reels about the hot air balloons flying over the hotel’s rooftop but unfortunately, during my stay, the weather conditions did not allow for them to take off the entire week. Felt a bit gutted but again, I got to fully enjoy the hotel and its facilities. Guests at Sultan are allowed to use the swimming pool at the adjacent hotel which is a partner hotel but I didn’t do it - I visited in November and the weather was cold. As Sultan is located on the hilltop, we get amazing views over Göreme. The center is also a short walk away (about 9 min). You should visit!Guest review byRachnaMauritius
- From US$304.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 203 reviewsIt's an amazing property with extremely helpful and jovial staff. Rooms are well equipped and present you with a unique blend of modern amenities with cave enclaves, break fast spread was quite excellent, with most of the stuff freshly baked and cooked. The hotel and rooms are clean, staff is extremely helpful, and they ensure they go out of the way to make your stay a memorable one The hotel is peaceful and is slightly away from the main centre so you might find it difficult to venture out for dinner, alternatively dinner at the hotel is quite delicious and freshly made.. Mr.Burhan, at the reception services, is extremely helpful. He assisted us in booking a few of the tours at short notice.Guest review bySurajBahrain

The location of the hotel is great, next to view point, restaurants and shops, but with good distance from the main street. The staff is really welcoming, warm and helpful. Rooms are very clean, beds comfortable. Breakfasts are tasty and always fresh prepared. It is rather family hotel, everyone is very involved to make your stay exceptionally, especially lady from the reception. I really reccommend this hotel to everyone. The best choice.Guest review byJoannaPoland
- From US$583.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 173 reviewsI absolutely love, love, love our stay here. Service was top-notch from email communications, restaurant reservation requests, check-in, check-out, transfers within the property, and transfer to Urgup restaurants. Views from the Maide Restaurant and from any balcony places are simply stunning. The room is both authentic and modern. We booked a Prime Room which is already spacious for us. We are a couple travelling with 2 other couples.Guest review byTurquoise21Canada

The hotel is really lovely and our room was nice and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast. The location is excellent, we could see air balloons from the terrace, and it’s close to restaurants and activities. We could walk to the Open Air Museum (1,5 km). Arranged smooth pick up and drop off at the airport. Everyone was friendly and we would definitely stay again.Guest review byClaraSweden

Göreme is truly a one-of-a-kind destination.
Göreme is truly a one-of-a-kind destination. The landscapes are breathtaking—fairy chimneys, cave houses, and stunning sunrise views with hot air balloons make it feel like you're in another world. The town has a unique charm and is a great base for exploring Cappadocia, with lots of tour options, hikes, and viewpoints nearby. That said, it’s good to be aware of a few things. Tourist scams are common, especially with overpriced tours or pushy vendors. It's worth doing a bit of research or booking through reputable sources. Also, while the food is generally good, some restaurants are overpriced for what you get—clearly aimed at tourists. Overall, Göreme is absolutely worth visiting, just go with a bit of caution and plan ahead to avoid the usual tourist pitfalls.Guest review byDijeyItaly - 8.0

There are some interesting historical areas and museums around the citadel and some newer buildings such as the Opera House. However the city is very large, sprawling and modern with many tower blocks built in the last 20 or so years replacing some shanty towns especially on the way to the airport so choose your location to stay carefully on a map of the city!Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This was a lovely city. there is so much to see especially if you are staying in the older part of the city. I loved walking around the city sightseeing. You would find the most unexpected shopping experience as well as cultural. The people are also nice here gives you a small town vibe.Guest review byMadeehaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Urgup is small town but has a lot of very nice local restaurants, no chains!! A number of small shops selling local produce and the usual souvenir shops. Is you want a lot of hustle and bustle choose somewhere else but if you want somewhere a little more chilled and authentic this is the place.Guest review byRSD58United Kingdom - 10.0
Kayseri is a historical treasure.
Kayseri is a historical treasure. The historical museums are awesome, especially the new archaeology museum in the castle. It also has a lot of surviving Seljuk-Mongol buildings from the 13th and 14th century that are almost unique. It is often overlooked because Kappadokya is right next door, but it shouldn't be.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Eskisehir cam be called the Venice of Turkey.
Eskisehir cam be called the Venice of Turkey. Beautiful canals with Gondolas, cafes and meyhanes along the banks, gorgeous romantic bridges....very charming. Eskisehir can also boast a spectacular old quarter, called the Odunpazari, with its antique atmosphere, world class museum of modern art, and its open air market. Transport is easy and efficient with its excellent tramway system. The new High Speed Railway makes it easy to get to from Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara, as well as other places..Folk in Eskisehir are relaxed, helpful, friendly, and know that they are lucky! Good vibes.Guest review byedgarUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Ortahisar is a beautiful little town.
Ortahisar is a beautiful little town. It’s quite quiet but a short taxi ride into slightly busier Goreme. I’m glad we stayed in Ortahisar though as it was much more relaxing and quaint. Hisarönü Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - fantastic food, lovely Cappadocian wine and shisha. We even got given a free slice of cake as it was the owners birthday. Highly recommend!Guest review byEmmaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.Guest review byMoodleySouth Africa
