We walked from the town to the old cemetery to see Wild Bill and Calamity Jane’s graves. It’s a long uphill walk with lots of stars Better to drive up to it and leave the car just outside. Only their bus can take passengers into the graveyard (for a fee of course). Otherwise, you’ll have to walk to see the it. This is a cute town, close to a number of points of interest - Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park. We saw hundreds of bison on the Wildlife Loop around 8 a.m. The park is top-notch. Highly recommend!Guest review byKathyUnited States - 10.0

Do not recommend! The room i received was over run with flies, mosquitoes, gnats and spiders. The walls looked like they had not been cleaned in months and the bed linens were filthy! Hill City is a great place to stay.
Hill City is a great place to stay. It's beautiful and right in the middle of all Black Hills attractions. Keystone is like 15 min drive away, Sylvan Lake is 3 miles away, Rapid City is 27 miles. Everywhere you drive, the scenery is amazing, so even driving 30 minutes to Rapid City is a quick, pleasurable drive. Hill Citys Main street has lots of nice dining and shopping options, including a Subway for a picnic lunch at Sylvan Lake. Hill City also has a nice Grocery store and a hardware store, unlike Keystone. Wind River National Park is good.
Wind River National Park is good. Evans Plunge Pool is nice swim unique and affordable. Nice historic town buildings. The Mammoth site is world class, very good. The China Wok restaurant makes good chinese food and good price, good enough for Chinese folk from Australia, if ask for extra chilli they can make it to Szechuan heat, NICE touch!Guest review byDavidAustralia
