In terms of the hotel, definitely book a room further into the property overlooking the gardens or stream. Moab has some nice shopping. Not all tee-shirt shops. We spent one full day at Bryce. We saw the most spectacular night sky with milky way visible to naked eyes. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. We did the Navajo and queens garden loop which was around 3 miles and covered most of the canyon. Views from Inspiration point and Bryce point are the best. Hurricane is great because it's near Zion National Park and everything you can do there. We found a few great restaurants - River Rock Roasting Company's cinnamon rolls are not to be missed. We also loved Main Street Cafe. There's everything you need - grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations, and restaurants. While staying in Hurricane, we embarked on a Canyoning tour with Red Desert Adventure. It was phenomenal! If rappelling down waterfalls, climbing Via Ferratta, and zip lining across canyons sounds like your happy place, then I highly recommend it! We also hiked the Narrows. The Rim Rock Restaurant had great views for a nice dinner and Austin’s Chuckwagon Deli was absolutely perfect for breakfast, plus I saw lots of box lunches going out as well for hikers! We arrived on the Rocky Mountaineer from Denver, which was fabulous. There is so much to do in the area. We took a one hour sunset flight over Moab, visited the Arches national Park, and did a half day float on the Colorado river. This small valley city is surrounded by red rock mountains.
