The bed was soooo comfortable, the staff is really friendly and very helpful, I love the fact that there is a restaurant, fuel station and shop on the premises. I will most definitely stay there again.

Loved the cleanliness, and the kitchen was well stocked. The host had even provided free tea,coffee, milk and rusks for the next morning.

We actually did not stay long.
We actually did not stay long. We had a meal across the road from where we stayed, but did not walk around or did any activities as we perceived the local people to be very poor and we chose to stay indoors.

Once off the N12 the roads in Britstown - mainly gravel -...
Once off the N12 the roads in Britstown - mainly gravel - were rather bumpy, probably the norm in most small towns acroos South Africa at the moment.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the standards and quality provided by the Old Mill Coffee Shop, where I enjoyed a wholesome breakfast, and the Transkaroo Country Lodge, at which I enjoyed a delicious dinner and a good breakfast.

Britstown is a small town.
Britstown is a small town. There is a nice hotel (Transkaroo hotel) and a nice coffee shop (The Mill) where you can stop. The hotel has a nice vibe in the dining area. The dinners are delicious. I think it's good for a stop over if you have a long journey arriving late in the afternoon or early evening. The Transkaroo hotel will provide a deserved rest.
