The spacious and ultra luxurious rooms (which were well equipped and quiet) and the serene yet central location made us wish we booked a longer stay. Stunning location to explore the many activities and experiences that the town of Hoedspruit and surrounding area has to offer. Little shops, restaurants and of course the Greater Kruger are right on your doorstep. We were warmly greeted and the helpful and friendly staff assisted us in planning and arranging everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, ensuring a restful stay. A big thank you to our housekeeper, Grace, for her excellent work. Another housekeeper even took a torn dress home to repair it — a thoughtful gesture that shows the dedication of the staff. This time, we were determined to leave a note to express our satisfaction. Tzaneen Country Lodge offers outstanding value for money, combining natural beauty, quality facilities, and exceptional service.     I like the place because it is very quiet, one had a rest without any noise. The place is very near to Savannah Mall and we ate at Nando's. What i did not like is the restriction of lights at night, some of us we are students and study at night and the was no provision of a small table and a chair, such should be corrected.

    Impressive little town with lots to do in town and in...

    Impressive little town with lots to do in town and in surrounding areas. The town had great little shops and amazing restaurants with lovely ambiance and views. It felt clean and the roads recently tarred. The grass of the game reserves' boundaries next to the main roads were all cut which looked well kept and neat. It was just disappointing that it was not possible to do self drives or walks inside any of the surrounding game reserves unless you were staying in the reserve. The Kruger was your only option. My favourite restaurants were the Blue Mountain restaurant, The Argula Experience at Zandspruit and Aerotel. Great trips in the surrounding area were Blyde river canyon boat excursion, Mango Mohlatsi and Maholoholo rehabilitation centre. Had a great trip to the Kruger Park entering at the Orpen gate and taking the Timbavati road to Olifants camp and the river dirt road to Letaba and exiting via the Phalaborwa gate. Saw lots of game following the dirt roads next to the rivers.

    I liked the service from the reception, they were friendly. The view of our room exceeded our expectations. It was big enough to cater 4 people😊. Hope you can put bath mat in bathrooms to avoid wet floor and slipping.

    Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment.

    Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment. The roads are in a very bad state and the general condition of the streets, pavements and rubbish lying around is a disgrace for the municipality. There are no streetlights working and the overall deterioration of the town is the last thing one wants to show overseas visitors. The tar road leading to the Kruger gate is obviously in a good condition but that is all. The Pick and Pay and the Spur are closed due to a fire incident and there are not a lot of restaurants to go to dinner for.

    The owner should consider removing all those concrete bed base,they are so uncomfortable and if you lose concentration moving around those small rooms you can easily get injured.The shower and toilets are so small ,it is difficult to move around. I was booked for two nights but slept for only night and had to find alternative accomodation.They also have an entertainment area so on sunday the 27th April 2025,they play loud music as early as 10h00.
