- From US$412.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 519 reviewsNestled in the untamed beauty of the wilderness, Itaga Lodge is an unparalleled escape from the mundane, offering an experience that transcends the ordinary. My recent stay at this hidden gem left an indelible mark. The lodge's secluded setting lends itself to a sense of tranquility that is truly unparalleled. Surrounded by breathtaking vistas and the sounds of nature, I found solace in the embrace of the African wilderness. However, it's not just the location that sets Itaga apart; it's the exceptional service and genuine warmth of the staff that truly elevate the experience. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel not only welcome but cherished. Their unwavering dedication to hospitality is evident in every interaction, leaving an impression of heartfelt sincerity that is hard to come by elsewhere. One highlight of my stay was the captivating Game Drive led by Aleck, a true aficionado of the wild. His passion for his craft shines through as he navigates the terrain with skill and expertise, immersing guests in the wonders of the African bush. Under his guidance, I had the privilege of witnessing majestic elephants, graceful rhinos, towering giraffes, and a myriad of other awe-inspiring creatures in their natural habitat. In conclusion, my time at Itaga Luxury Game Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary. From the serenity of its location to the impeccable service and unforgettable wildlife encounters, every aspect of my stay surpassed expectations. For those seeking a truly immersive and soul-stirring safari experience, Itaga Luxury Game Lodge is the right place to be.Guest review byAndreas H.Germany

I liked the service from the reception, they were friendly.
I liked the service from the reception, they were friendly. The view of our room exceeded our expectations. It was big enough to cater 4 people😊. Hope you can put bath mat in bathrooms to avoid wet floor and slipping.Guest review byPaulinah - 4.0
The place is in urgent need of an upgrade.
The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy. The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old. The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken. The pool cues had no tips. And I could go on and on!@Guest review byMichelleSouth Africa - 8.0

Dinokeng is a bit disjointed and its not easy to find your way around - even with the map provided. We were not lucky enough to see the big 5. The brewery is worth a visit! Not much game in the self drive area.Guest review byCarolSouth Africa - 10.0
Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space.
Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space. It is extremely well equipped and well designed. The animals come to feed right in front of the house, and it is very close to the golf course. Main bedroom is very big, while the other rooms are smaller, so bear that in mind when booking.Guest review byEmilySouth Africa - 10.0
I liked the game roaming freely between the houses.
I liked the game roaming freely between the houses. I had Latte and koeksisters at Auroro Tea Garden and there was a fete and dans at the local community hall. I bought pancakes, but did not attend the dans. I did not like that the community had to do fund raising to repair damage from the resend floads, no government funds are available for repairsGuest review byDalene SupraSouth Africa - 10.0

Mabalingwe Nature Reserve was amazing, with lots of animals to see. The proximity to Bela-Bela for a day outing is so convenient and a trip to the Warmbaths Forever Resort is a must for travellers with children. We had a fun day out and great value for money. Remember to pack a picnic basket or goodies for a braai at Warmbaths. The facilities are well looked after and all the rides were operational.Guest review byMs TrompSouth Africa - 10.0

Loved the the experience of checking in the reception ladies were very friendly. I wish they can renovate and update the hotel rooms it's outdated ,the sliding doors aren't working properly and fix the WiFi connection ,install fibre that would be better , activities are great really enjoyed ourselves with my family ,game drive, quads and massage enjoyed .enjoyed the bar and restaurant even though it's quite expensive!!!Guest review bynqobileSouth Africa - 6.0

The park is structured very differently to others we have visited with more than half it seems labelled no entry private property and therefore inaccessible. We saw game on the roads around the actual access gates and nothing in the reserve itself. The accommodation options are geared to a relaxing bush getaway with the game spotted on route a bonus - definitely not a Pilanesberg or Kruger experience but offers an abundance of accommodation and dining options. Conservation and self-drive fees are applicableGuest review byMichelleSouth Africa - 10.0
The house has 4 bedrooms, each numbered.
The house has 4 bedrooms, each numbered. We experienced the following problems. Room 1 - Perfect Room 2 - Missed a lot of globes. Couldn't use the bedside lamps or the lamps against the wall above the bed. Only 1 globe in bathroom. Room 3 - Was a bit dirty and shower door couldn't close Room 4 - Perfect.Guest review byChristine - 8.0
Great venue to be at.
Great venue to be at. Remote but with all necessary amenities one could need. Nice club house and facilities but was disappointed they closed early on New Year’s Eve and most places were also not opened on new year’s e.g. waterberg zip line. Loved the Elements golf course.Guest review byThaboSouth Africa
