The facility had so much to offer. We loved meeting other travelers and watched a Rugby game on an outside TV. Behind us was a wonderful seating area and a wood burning oven because the outside temperatures were in the low 50th (11C).
The breakfast / dining area was wonderful and the food as excellent! There also us an outside black nature pool with was an experience, great! We also loved our accommodation which had heating blankets already in our beds, a split heating / AC unit that was working well plus a wood burning oven which we didn’t use. The lodge was decorated tastefully and very inviting. The office had excellent and very helpful staff (thank you Lionel you were fantastic and we loved speaking to you and learning about your wonderful country.)
Overall, this spontaneous getaway was exceptional and we didn't want to leave. We will be back.

The bathroom and room were clean and well-kept, perfect for a weekend getaway
Our unit consisted of a private, well-kept garden that offered great mountain views when standing at the unit's entrance.

Jaco was so personable and made us feel very welcome on arrival.
Absolutely stunning location and a complete change of environment to other places we had visited on the garden route. A true farm/vineyard environment with very rustic furnishings and personal touches that made the stay so inviting. The outdoor shower to try is a must but you can also use the indoor ones as additional. The local town had the most beautiful restaurant but local resident environment. Made the trip even more special overall. Thank you Jaco

Tranquility but the roads was not good at all.
Tranquility but the roads was not good at all. For non residents of Cape Town you should take into account that it is quite far from Cape Town centre and the price for Transport transfers are very high. Please do not try Aquila the price is relatively very very high and not worth it.

It was my first time visiting Worcester and i was amazed by the cleanliness of the town even in the townships. The area is safer and most places i visited, i was greeted with great service. The place has lots of places to visit. If you are a wine enthusiast, then you would enjoy some wine tasting places. I also enjoyed coffee shops and town lifestyle.

Rawsonville is a small rural village located in the Slanghoek/Worcester valley wine producing district in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The valley is home to a large number of wine producing estates, most of which host wine tasting opportunities and restaurants. The Valley is surrounded by scenic sandstone mountain ranges of great natural beauty.
Despite it's small size, Rawsonville village has most of the essential services for tourists and travelers, such as various types of accommodation, supermarkets, fuel stations and medical services. The local residents are mostly friendly and helpful.

The beds are very comfortable.
The beds are very comfortable. There’s an air conditioner for hot days and a great fireplace for cooler evenings. The hot tub was a hit with the family and I loved cooking on the gas stove. We packed two mosquito repellents which we plugged in the kitchen and in our bedroom to keep the Mozies away. The tents are very spacious with everything you need for your stay.

Good tar and dirt roads into the area.
Good tar and dirt roads into the area. No noise from the main road. Pristine bush with vineyards and orchards in the valley. There are many accommodations to choose from. There are wine cellars, restaurants, and a brewery in the area. Rolling hills and a mountain range to the west. Beautifuyl scenary.

It did not match the description at all.
It did not match the description at all. The safari part and seeing the animals was good but everything else was poor.
It felt like being processed in a factory. A case of get them all in, and get them all out again! The accommodation was in dire need of refurbishment. The so called, outside rock face shower, wasn’t quite what I was expecting! Rusty shower head, filthy floor and full of mosquitoes. The buffet style full board had a variety of choices but all the food was tepid and shouted ‘food poisoning’ to me. Noisy, uninviting dining hall that looked like a school canteen. No ‘African safari’ atmosphere or decor here.
My advise is book for the day safari but not the overnight stay.

We stayed in a self catering rondavel.
We stayed in a self catering rondavel. No towels or cleaning materials, no broom, no dish cloth. No hair dryer. They are very expensive but don't even provide the basics for self catering facility. Even Club Mykonos provides basics to self catering units, even coffee tea milk and sugar. This place provided none of that. The place was over booked as in too many people. The bathrooms at the pool area were constantly queuing.

The property is lovely, I wish I could have experienced more of it but I was there on a work trip.
It was cold due to the season, however I'm sure its even more lovely in the summer, wouldn't mind going back there for leisure.
