Very friendly staff who took good care of us and made us feel home. The location is good, close to the lake, and the little garden is very peaceful. We didn’t use the pool but it’s nice and heated and the gym is nice too. Breakfast was really good with many fresh choices and good coffee. We stayed in the deluxe room which was very spacious and confortabile. Highly recommended

After two months of traveling, I finally found a place where I could truly rest. Karuna feels like home, calm, welcoming and full of kind people. I had barely finished breakfast and my room was already clean! The hotel is perfectly located with everything close by, yet it still feels peaceful and grounded. I loved all the eco-friendly details, from organic products and reduced plastic to mineral water in glass carafes and handmade solid soaps and shampoos. The happy hour with local tastings was the cherry on top. I left with a full heart, sad to go but so grateful for the precious moment spent here

The room had a view that one could only dream of. It’s such a peaceful place - the lodge was perched high up on the hills and really close to the Sarangkot viewpoint where one can see the Machhapuchhare peak. I was very well-fed by Suraksha and her family who prepared wonderful meals for me. There are also many locals who live there who are really such good fun to chat with that as a solo traveler I never felt lonely there. Most importantly, I was really glad to have a clean and comfortable room + bathroom and just chill at the balcony outside the room. On a cloudy day one can have a “unkai” experience - sea of clouds over the hills. It’s just really relaxing to see the fast-moving clouds and ever changing mountain landscape.

Buffet breakfast is amazing and varied (the main dishes change every day). Staff is friendly (upgraded our room for free 2 times) and there’s the cutest golden retriever dog welcoming you every day at the door. Location is perfect in Lakeside, all attractions/shops/restaurants within walking distance. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, bottles of water. Simply one of the best hotels we’ve booked in Nepal! NB: Don’t forget to try the amazing Belgian fries restaurant a 2-min walk from the hotel (called “The original Frituur No 1” on Google Maps), it was our best meal in Pokhara!

The staff were very kind and professional in all aspects. They were very respectful, and no request was a problem. We unfortunately had tummy issues on our last night, and they really couldn't have done more to make our onward journey as comfortable as possible. The location is really great as it is a 5 minutes walk to the main high street and the lakeside. Excellent venue.

20/10! We absolutely LOVED our stay in Hotel Hakoniwa! Anil and his lovely family are the best! Anil gave us so many great tips and advices about trekking. Wr stayed here 4 days before and 5 days after our trek and it was hard to leave. The breakfast is simple but delicious - egg, bread and vegetables with coffee or tea. Its in a quiet are of Pokhara but pretty close to the lake. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you can come here, it’s really lovely!
