Beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the river. I asked the staff to leave a birthday message for my boyfriend in our room, and they did it:) The staff was very sweet and friendly and always there to assist. I liked the fact that they're very efficient and proactive since they know visitors in Machu Picchu don't have much time. Very nice breakfast and great coffee.

The Casa del Sol is located just 1min walk away from the train station. You can reach everything in few steps. The city center is just 150m away. Just Perfect. The rooms are on a modern standard with a lovely individual touch. If available book the river side. You have a great view of Urubamba river. This makes your stay even more special. The service is outstanding. Alcines, the manager helped us to get last minute tickets for Machu Picchu. He came with us to the Ministry of culture and translated for us. Thanks for all your help! Breakfast Buffet is really nice. With all you may want for good breakfast including freshly made Omelett. The service from Maria made our mornings chilled and enjoyable. Just say - book Casa del Sol for your Machu Picchu experience and my recommendation is, book at least 2 nights for a chilled and smooth visit to the holy Inka Mountain. Frank

The bellboy from the hotel picked our luggage up from the train and took us to the hotel. We stayed at the top floor and and a huge balcony overlooking the mountains of Machu Picchu. The room was also huge, with a fridge and some complimentary drinks (on the house!). Very thoughtfull, because that is what u want when u arrive at a hotel, instead of looking for convenience stores to look for water etc. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of options. We stayed in several hotels during our trip in Perú, but this hotel was by far the best. Everything was just more than we expected.

Excellent hotel with superb staff. We didn't book tickets for Machu Picchu but the hotel staff helped us navigate the very complex system to buy tickets and we had a fantastic stay overall. Reception and dining staff were always trying to make us feel welcome and were simply amazing.

Great room, really comfy bed and had a great sleep. Staff were super friendly and helpful and location is good close to centre. And shower was hot with shampoo etc provided. Could not fault it and good value for money. Big room with view of the river
