Location is great, right in Nara park. Staff was helpful and understanding of the language barrier. Let us drop our bags off early before check-in. Great food and service for both supper and breakfast. Nice big room for the two of us. They were nice enough to order our taxi for us the morning we left so we didn't have to worry about hiking back to the train (or bus) station.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk.

I loved every single thing from this hotel. From the staff, to the room, to the onsen, to the location. This Truly the Japanese experience to its finest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nara for a day trip.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. The host was the niccest lady. Really good Japanese breakfast as well.

I liked how it was very clean with good breakfast and friendly staff. The Onsen is very nice!

This is a family run ryokon and every member of the staff was exceedingly friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing.
