First thing we noticed was the big room compared to other hotels with a comfortable bed. The staff were excellent when we checked in and when we got our breakfast which was quite nice as well (although felt a bit high in sugar/carbohydrates). The public bath was very nice, the water was very hot compared to other hotels but enjoyable. The hotel is also located directly next to the bus station and above a supermarket and nearby all the sights.

Wow! One of the best soba noodles I’ve had in Japan. The first thing you see when you walk into the restaurant is the chef hand making and cutting the soba noodles (so you know it’s gonna be good!). Excellent customer service, good atmosphere, and very well priced. The food was so fresh and so delicious! And the sake also very good. Highly recommend.

The sulphur onsen. The place is high up in the mountains and is very relaxing and chill. The outdoor bath located a little way away from the main building provides a nice view and a nice hot soak. The buffet style meals are tasty and there are a wide variety to choose from.
