It was tucked away a couple of miles off the main road with spectacular distant views over the black forest areas. Fabulous sunsets, peaceful and quiet with cows grazing next to the property. We were two couples traveling through Europe and Bauerleshutte was a perfect place to stay for 3 days. Would recommend as it had everything we were looking for. We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom. Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free! There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea. We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!
