Staff is amazing. The villas are in the jungle and the place is really quiet. We loved our stay here.

When we’ve arrived they picked us up by baggy and carried our luggages all the way to the reception and then the room. They didn’t want to let us help even though those bags were very heavy. They just said their guest’s comfort is the most important for them. - Which they proved several times during our stay. We felt very welcome and every single special request we had, they fulfilled immediately and helped us feel as great as possible during our stay. Everyone was always smiling, greeting us. The prices of food at the restaurant and other services such as massage, laundry etc were great. Not to forget to mention that we arrived exactly when it was raining for days like crazy and they put warm water in the pool so that we could at least enjoy that until the weather gets better. The most wonderful and kind people we’ve ever met.

From the moment of arrival, we felt instantly relaxed and excited to begin our holiday. It was lovely chatting to the Resort Manager Puspa and hearing stories about the Buahan journey thus far from an insider's point of view. Buahan's commitment to sustainability, fostering community and encouraging guests to be at one with nature are highly commendable. For us it's the amazing people, exceptional food and unique experiences that made our stay truly wonderful and unforgettable. A special mention goes to De Gus, our host who was professional, friendly, engaging and always anticipated our needs. On numerous occasions he went out his way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Special thanks to Chef Eka and Chef Agus for the mouth watering meals they prepared for us. We love the concept of 70% plant based, and also the opportunity to go foraging for ingredients, we have learnt so much! A few tips and must do's to share based on our experience: - Tjampuhan Waterfall Trek --> Descend down gravel pathways and you'll be rewarded with Buahan's own private waterfall, beautiful and mesmerising. - Pop-up lunch at Tegal Dukuh, Taro Village --> The perfect blend of culture, adventure, education and of course, delicious food. - Yoga @ the Pavilion --> Best way to start your day, breathe in the peace and tranquility, practising yoga amongst the lush forest and greenery. - Cocktail hour @ Botanist Bar --> Enjoy the 'Salak' Cocktail (whiskey sour with a Buahan twist!) during sunset - Subak Buahan Trek --> A delightful trek exploring local plants and flora, finishing with a stroll through paddy rice fields. Last but not least, if you're reading this review and researching a resort to stay at in Bali, look no further and book Buahan - it is truly one of a kind, an experience like no other!

The hospitality and professional customer experience.

Amazing location for those who wants to be close to nature and wake up every morning in harmony and full of energy. Located far away from crowded places, the hotel offers you nice welcome and further host by warm staff. The garden and all facilities are maintained with attention to details. Breakfast is cooked particular for you always fresh and tasty.

This is an exceptional property that we will most definitely stay at again. The pool is second to none. The setting is stunning with many walking paths and several activities to try.

Beautiful place and the nicest people

Phenomenal hotel. The location was perfect, and the staff were so attentive and friendly. The grounds of the hotel are amazing and we didn’t even want to leave. Would definitely advise to plan a day to just stay in the resort to enjoy all the pools and the views because it is stunning and well worth it. The breakfast and dinner were amazing and overall was an incredible hotel.

This is a luxurious and peaceful stay in the heart of nature , with its own private river and waterfall! Waking up every morning watching (and listening) to the dawn and feeling completely immersed in the nature of Bali yet with every modern comfort is an amazing experience. The staff were wonderful, and the facilities and food excellent The pricing is more of European standard but staying here you completely understand why and definitely worth it

We are extremely satisfied with this hotel. It exceeded all our expectations – starting from the staff and the surroundings, and ending with the food. A very big thank you to Antari and Dedy for their smiles, friendliness, helpfulness, and kindness. This will stay with us for a long time. The room also left us speechless. An open-air bathroom – wow! The food is restaurant quality, both in presentation and taste. It’s our first time in Ubud, but we recommend this hotel 100%. We hope to come back again. Thank you!
