The property was well maintained. The room was spacious and had a charming old-looking country feel. Loved it. The staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was simple yet tasty and enough. The pool was clean. Could hear frogs at night. You need a car to move around, the hotel is a little far from Umbertide.

This is what holiday is all about. We felt welcome from the start. Everyone treats you with care. We booked for five nights initially, but we booked one night extra because we did not want to leave :-) The highlights include a very good breakfast, the location for exploring Umbria and the swimming pool area which is perfect for relaxing every day for a few hours. We booked the restaurant for dinner three times so yes, that is good as well. Their own wines are delicious.

Gorgeous location, spectacular views over the verdant Umbrian hills. We love the village of Montone, excellent restaurants - we would recommend them all (Erba Luna, Osteria Antico, Verziere and more expensive but worth it: Locanda/Tipico). Best if you have a car but lots of hiking trails if you don’t. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is continental style- bread / pastries, cheese and ham, boiled eggs and cereals. Rooms are comfortable, great night sleep on the mattresses and quiet. We had a premium room with a large terrace which we would recommend.
