You can get to Tanuki Koji in about 30 minutes by foot and if it rains you can walk underground. The public baths are amazing, and the staff is super friendly. Location cannot be any better than this! Direct access to the main shopping street! 30 seconds walk to airport bus stop meant that it was manageable to carry lots of luggage back and forth from hotel (yes we had a lot of luggage) Onsen was lovely during the afternoon but night time (11pm) it was extremely crowded. Hotel restaurant serves good sashimi don for lunch. Great value and would recommend.

Instead of staying near Sapporo station, we chose to stay at Hotel Emisia Sapporo near Shin-Sapporo station. It has direct access from New Chitose Airport without being too busy like Sapporo Station. The hotel is just a stone’s throw away from Shin-Sapporo Station. We had a lot of luggages so it was easy to transport them to the hotel. We also liked the amenities. We flew to Sapporo so it was perfect for us that we do not have to bring toiletries.
