We loved our stay at Fernanda & Fernando’s lodge boho-chic style in the middle of flowers, greenery and eclectic decorations. We first stayed in a double room then moved for the last 2 nights to the room with king bed and kitchen, which is a worthwhile upgrade. The hosts and their staff work hard to keep this huge compound welcoming and clean, it seem to have further expansion plans. We could not use the beautiful pool as water was a bit cold (normal during this season) and did not eat at the restaurant as it closes at 5-5.30pm, too early for us after spending the day visiting the region. The village of Huayapam is an excellent surprise. Great location just 30min from Oaxaca center and easy starting point to visit Monte Alban, Mitla, Arrazola, Hierve el Agua and so many other fascinating places. Tiny but super cute with amazing restaurants, esp the family run Luz de la Luna (we live in Peru and the food and cocktails are at the level of some best Lima restaurants). Huayapam and its friendly inhabitants are worth being much better known and supported! Mil gracias y suerte!!!

The accommodation offers a concierge service, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. I loved it here! It was such a cute, brand-new property a very short walk into San Agustinillo. The semi-outdoor shower (with hot water and great water pressure!) was amazing as was the very comfortable bed. The pools were fun and the staff was very nice. I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, but the chef of the pizza restaurant attached to the hotel is a well-known pizza chef formerly of La Termita (which I loved before they sadly closed). Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I had the opportunity to stay at Casa Umi a couple of years ago, and this time, I was positively surprised by the renovation and refurbishment the hotel has gone true; the deluxe room I stayed at was amazing, Good size, with a small sitting area, great space for computer and desk, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable beds and sumptuous linen, the double seal doors and windows allowed me to sleep without any external noise, I recommend this hotel. Situated in Zipolite, 100 metres from Zipolite Beach, Hotel Descalzo SPA features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. This 3-star hotel offers a bar. The accommodation provides a concierge service, and organising tours for guests. This was a great find! The property is absolutely beautiful and all of the bungalows are amazing. The ground floor units have A/C, but the upper units have amazing airflow and patios, and you can request an extra fan. Very unique and superb attention to detail. The amenities with the beach bar and restaurant on site were 10 out of 10. Very short walk to the main street and a lovely beach. The pool was generally deserted and absolutely gorgeous. A nice respite from the heat on the beach. Many thanks to Pedro and all of the staff. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Zipolite and we were treated to a nice surprise of complementary wine and impeccable service. There is some noise at night from neighboring clubs, but the fans and the earplugs tend to drown it out! This is a lively fun place to be in Mexico, even if you are not a nudist. Rent a scooter from the reception and drive up to Mazunte and San Augustinillo. Lots of cute areas neighboring Zipolite that are worth checking out.

Samora Luxury Resort offers a hot tub. The area is popular for snorkelling, and car hire is available at the inn. It was one of the nicest hotels I have ever been to. Awesome ocean front view. The owner and the staff were very accommodating. And the food was amazing.

Un Sueño Cabañas’ restaurant and bar is 15 metres from the property and serves for breakfast and lunch seafood, salads, pasta and steak-style dishes. Within 200 metres, guests will find other food options available, like coffee shops and restaurants, in San Agustinillo. We loved our room and how you can come out and be on the sand right away and to the beach / water in seconds. The restaurant was amazing, right on the beach and the staff are excellent. Super nice and enjoyable.
