Nice place to stay on a road trip around Basilicata. It is the floor part of a house from the old quarter of Garaguso, set on a narrow street. I had a Fiat Panda and I was able to get right to the building and to park it, but a bigger car should be parked in the central square, 200 m away. The property was clean and it had all the necessary amenities, it looks far better then in the photos, it is a real house, not the standard "set" for appartment rentals. The teracce is indeed impressive, with view to the valley and the country side hills. The owner, Amelia, lives next door and she is very nice and helpfull.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was very peaceful and the view in the morning was a lovely thing to wake up to. We enjoyed having a BBQ in the evenings and watching the falcons circle over the hillside. It only took 30 minutes to reach both the beach and Matera from the house which was very convenient. Pomarico is a small, authentic, Italian town. The locals were very friendly and accomodating despite the language barrier, people were patient and almost happy for us to attempt to speak Italian with the help of Google Translate. The local shops had amazing local produce. I had some of the best bread I have ever eaten from the bakery and the salsiccia pezzente from the butcher was fantastic. I only knew to try all of these things because our host, Antonello was so helpful and full of local knowledge. Every morning he would come and make us fresh cappucinos and provide us with breakfast. He has a great sense of humour and would give me Italian lessons and I would help to improve his (already very good) English. His wife, Stefania visited us a few times and together, they were wonderful hosts. Friendly, funny, helpful and patient. What more can you ask for? We both really enjoyed our stay here and will return in the future. Grazie mille, professore Atonello ;-)

Vincenzo was extremely helpful, very polite and welcoming! The property was spacious and clean, lovely views from the back of the property over the mountains. I would highly recommend this property, value for money and in a great location.

Everything was Absolutely perfect. The apartment is beautiful and very new, the garden still seems to be a little under construction, so I really want to return once it is completely finished. The apartments had coffee, tee, biscuits, milk, yoghurt, juices, water,... i was never given so many treats in one place. Everything is high quality, you can see how much money and thoughts they put into design this place, I honestly think they should start charging more, it was way too cheap for the quality of the place!!!! The beds are very comfortable, I honestly wanted to ask where they get their pillows from. The room is also very big and great for 4 people, the kitchen is gorgeous and so is the bathroom. The host was an absolute sweetheart, very caring and the moment we had some trouble (with the shower), he immediately tried to solve it and kept me updated on when the water would start working. I really can't describe how pleased I am. Lovely place, caring host 1000000/10 would absolutely recommend!!!!! If you go to Matera stay there (just note that it is still a 10 minute drive to the city centre, but that wasn't an issue for us), I was really surprised by this place. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, I hope to return someday!! :)
